Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a form of treatment offered by trained physiotherapists. There is good evidence to show that it is effective and it is often used alongside other treatments like exercise and mobilization of your joints and muscles.
Massage
Massage therapy is a key part of many physiotherapy treatments. Here at PhysioComesToYou, we know the importance that physiotherapy massage can play as part of a treatment plan. That’s why we offer massage services at home, work, care homes, or hotels bringing the convenience of having the massage come to you.
Geriatric therapy
As part of aging, the body begins to lose strength, mobility, and flexibility. If left unchecked this can lead to certain health consequences. But it is possible, with the right intervention from a therapist, to devise a program of physiotherapy to care for the older person.
Musculoskeletal and sports
We often place our musculoskeletal system under intense pressure, especially if we do a repetitive activity or take part in strenuous activity. Whilst for the most part this complex arrangement of bone, cartilage, muscle, ligaments, tendons and soft tissue can bend, stretch and flex to accommodate movement, musculoskeletal injuries can occur.
Vestibular rehabilitation
Vestibular Rehabilitation is a form of physiotherapy that uses specialist exercises to help retrain the brain to recognize and sort signals from your inner ear to work properly with your vision (eyes) and your proprioception (muscles and joints). The exercises will also help to make the balance system less sensitive to any movements that make your symptoms worse.
Post-surgery
Post-surgery recovery can be a very traumatic event, both psychologically and physically. It can place the body under tremendous stress and can leave muscles weakened. That’s why it is often necessary to undergo some post-surgery physiotherapy.
